GDA El Unico — Delvi Antonio Abreu Martínez, born in Santo Domingo on 29 July 1992 — is a Dominican urban singer, songwriter and producer. He bills himself now simply as GDA.

His recorded work arrives in one concentrated stretch. In 2019 he put out the album Éxitos and two EPs under the title La Gaveta, volumes one and two. Suma, Quien Te Mando and a remix of Como Duermes followed through 2020.

Calling a pair of EPs “the drawer” is a specific joke about how this music gets made: an artist accumulates finished songs faster than anyone will release them, and eventually empties the drawer himself.

Independent

He describes himself on his own pages as independent, and as singer, producer and composer at once — three jobs one person now does because there is nobody else to hand them to.

He is registered as an author in the international rights system, which is the unglamorous half of that independence: an artist who writes and produces his own catalogue and files the paperwork keeps what the catalogue earns.

He works between the Dominican Republic and the United States, which is where most of the current generation of Dominican urban artists actually lives.
