Biography

Jazmin Heredia is a Dominican worship singer who works almost entirely in long form. Her recordings are not three-minute songs but half-hour sessions built to be prayed along with, and they are released on her own channel rather than through a label or the streaming platforms.

The long sessions

The catalogue runs to some forty videos. The core of it is a numbered series, Momentos de Adoración Para Orar, alongside pieces like 30 Minutos a Solas con Jesús and Tiempo Íntimo de Adoración: Dios Es Nuestra Prioridad. They run between twenty-seven and thirty-two minutes.

That length is the point. A worship record is normally cut to the shape of a song; these are cut to the shape of a prayer, and they assume a listener who has set aside the half hour. She also records covers, among them Clama a Mí Que Yo Te Responderé, taken from Jeremiah 33 and sung with Luis Moreno.

The record

Very little else is documented. There is no album, no label, no press coverage and no artist catalogue on the streaming services — the work exists on her own channel and in her own hands. Her congregation is not recorded either.
