Keren Montero is a very young Dominican Christian artist born in 2006 in Santo Domingo whose early engagement with gospel and adoración has already produced recordings that circulate within Dominican Christian music communities. Like several other young Dominican worship artists who have emerged in recent years — Averly Morillo being the most prominent example — Montero represents a generation growing up within the evangelical Christian culture of Santo Domingo for whom music and faith are inseparable from a very early age. Her work, still in its formative stages, reflects the vitality of Dominican Christian youth culture and its capacity to produce new voices of genuine musical and spiritual promise.
