Letón Pé — Leticia Pelliccione, born in Santo Domingo on 22 April 1992 — is a Dominican singer, songwriter and actress working between alternative music and Caribbean pop. She lives in Madrid, releases her own records, and won the Soberano for alternative music.

Tropical fusion

She calls what she makes tropical fusion, and the phrase is hers rather than a label’s: merengue, bachata and dancehall meeting house and indie. It is a useful description because it explains why she is filed under alternative music in a country where that category barely exists.

The first records

She started in 2019, working between New York and Santo Domingo, and debuted with The One — a curious opening move, because it was in English and built for an international ear. The Spanish producer PIEK made it.

Deseo followed in 2020, her first EP, with Perder el Control and Te Extraño on it. Klk Tú Bebe and Bailo Pa’ Mi came out around the same stretch, the second of them a self-regard anthem that did more than the rest to fix her sound.

La Caleta, the second EP, is where the company got heavier: Eduardo Cabra of Calle 13 worked with her on Tengo Miedo, and the Latin Grammy-winning producer Julián Bernal was on the record too. By 2023 she was winning over Puerto Rican audiences, which for a Dominican alternative act is not the usual route.

Golosa

Golosa arrived on 26 February 2026: eleven songs, twenty-nine minutes, released on her own imprint. Mi Terraza she made with PJ Sin Suela; Granada, ¿Cuándo Se Va’ ir El Calor?, Madrugá and No Para are the rest of what circulated.

The record is about pleasure, and about taking it without apologising for it. She has talked about permissiveness and desire as the subject rather than the decoration, which is a harder thing to build a Caribbean pop record around than it sounds.

La Goloteka followed on 4 August 2026 — nine reinterpretations of the same album, remade for the dancefloor.

Madrid and the tour

She works out of Madrid, which puts her in the Dominican diaspora in Europe rather than in the New York one, and it shows in the record: the Caribbean is the material, but the frame around it is not a Caribbean frame.

The Golosa tour took her through the United States in 2026, including a night at SOB’s in New York, and she has played the Boiler Room in the Dominican Republic.
