Biography

Lil Naay, the stage name of Edwin Almánzar Reyes, is a Dominican trap and urbano singer and rapper born in Santo Domingo. He gained exposure through digitally distributed singles and videos, expanding his audience with «Mami», «Pa Tripea» and «Una Baby en Santiago».

Early releases

His documented YouTube career gained momentum in 2022 with «Banda a Mí», alongside Carlos TRVP. In 2024 he released «Mami» and «Pa Tripea», the latter with Huan62. «Otro Sistema», another Huan62 collaboration, followed in 2025. His performances combine trap phrasing with melodic elements and expressions drawn from Dominican urban speech.

Collaborations in 2025

In January 2025 he appeared on «La Patrulla» with El Alfa, Hades66 and Luis Brown. That year he joined Arcángel and Huan62 on «Sativa», included on «Sr. Santos II: Sueños de Grandeza». Other releases included the «Mami» remix with Eladio Carrión; «Panti» and «Santorari» with Amenazzy; and «Choko Ponla Pa Llevar» with Yailin La Más Viral. His own singles also included «KTEDE» and «Pasao De Farmacia».

«PENDING» and international exposure

«PENDING», his collaboration with Myke Towers, appeared in Barack Obama's selection of favorite songs of 2025, published by the Obama Foundation. That December he released the EP «The MVP of the Year». «Una Baby en Santiago», associated with that period, entered the Billboard Colombia Hot 100 at number 86 in April 2026, earning Hot Shot Debut recognition as the week's highest new entry.

Activity in 2026

He continued issuing singles including «Mood Brazil», «Perra» and «Hombre». «Bandi», his collaboration with Rowma, appeared in October. The release credits for recordings such as «Mood Brazil» and «Hombre» identify «1844 Tech, LLC» and an exclusive license to «Mercury Records»; that attribution does not establish the same arrangement for his entire earlier catalog.

Legacy

His career reflects the expansion of Dominican trap through videos, singles and collaborations among Caribbean performers. The Colombian chart entry of «Una Baby en Santiago» and the selection of «PENDING» provide concrete examples of how his music reached audiences beyond his home country.
