Mike El Beta — Michael Luis López — is a Dominican-American recording artist, songwriter and actor. He works on both sides of a line most people stay on one side of: urban records in Spanish, and speaking parts on American television.

Mi Chika Discoteca, made with Luno, is the one people know; the remix brought in Toxic Crow and was produced by Akilis. The catalogue is small and distributed through Vevo, which puts him inside the label system rather than outside it.

On screen

He acts, and the credits are real network work rather than local video. He played a Nicaraguan military guard in an episode of Madam Secretary in 2019, and appeared the same year in the Netflix mini-series Tales of the City. He is a protester in Excessive Force, and he appears as himself in the 2018 video Así.

He also works as a comedian and as an internet personality, which is the fourth job on a list where most artists have one.
