Peniel (also known across digital platforms as Adoración Peniel) is a Dominican Christian contemporary worship ensemble founded in Santo Domingo, dedicated to congregational praise, prayer, and faith-centered musical ministry.

Formation and members

The collective features a seven-member lineup anchored by lead vocalists and songwriters Kiara Vásquez Rivera, Karen Vásquez Rivera, and Rosmely Núñez, accompanied by a dynamic rhythm section with bassist Albert Cruz Espinal, keyboardist and synth programmer David Lobo, guitarist José Carlos Lagrule Adames, and drummer Diego Garrido Soriano. Together, the ensemble merges modern worship instrumentation with choral harmonies and devotional praise.

Ministry and recordings

Emerging through digital channels and local congregational gatherings, Peniel has shared acoustic sessions, live prayer worship nights, and original compositions. In 2026, the group presented the live single «Jehová Shammah», a congregational anthem written by Kiara Vásquez Rivera, Karen Vásquez Rivera, and Rosmely Núñez, produced by Shalak and recorded live during the «SHAMMAH 2025» worship event. Their repertoire also includes live worship themes such as «Hasta que suceda», «Su voz», «Volverá», and «Tengo fe».

Legacy

Peniel is part of the contemporary resurgence of youth-led Christian worship movements in the Dominican Republic, contributing original praise anthems to Spanish-speaking congregations throughout the Caribbean and Latin America.
