Raisa Díaz is a Dominican gospel singer from Villa Altagracia, in San Cristóbal. Her ministry began in 2019 and she has worked without interruption since 2021. The verse she claims is Ephesians 3:20; her motto is simpler — yo no lo tengo, pero lo creo.

Two interruptions

She started by accompanying her pastor to events. Then she went away to a boarding school to train as a Técnico Superior en Gestión Ambiental — a higher technician in environmental management — and the singing stopped. The pandemic sent her home in 2020 and she picked it up again. She stopped a second time, for six months, to finish the final stage of the degree.

Her path did not run in a straight line from calling to catalogue, the way these careers are usually told: she twice put the ministry down to finish a technical qualification, and only from 2021 has it been continuous.

Hay Una Palabra

Her first recording. She attributes the push to make it to the Holy Spirit and to the testimony of the salmista Chanel Novas, who she says confirmed the calling in her. The two later sang it together as a live worship session running past fourteen minutes, released in February 2025.

Él Es Santo

Released with an official video, it has been heard on a scale nothing else in her catalogue approaches, and few Dominican worship records reach at all. Proveedor, Indigno, Que Su Silencio No Te Turbe, Revela and Tu Voluntad make up the rest.

Premios San Cristóbal

In 2024 her home province’s awards named her Christian Song of the Year. Regional Dominican awards are almost never recorded anywhere durable, which is precisely why this one is here.
