TwoVm Para Cristo is a Dominican Christian urban duo formed in Santo Domingo in 2009 by the brothers Josué Abel Guzmán Cruz and Ramón Emilio Guzmán Cruz. The name is a contraction of Dos Vencedores Más — two more victors — and they have released their records themselves rather than through a label.

Before the first album

They started out on local concert bills alongside other artists coming up at the same time, appearing on Qué Tu Va Hacer Papá with Raynelyz López and Eres Tú with Rivelking Jiménez before they had a record of their own.

Todo Tiene Su Tiempo

The debut came in 2009 and set the pattern: a Christian lyric carried on tropical rhythms rather than on the straight reggaeton the duo is usually filed under. It took them out of the country that same year on their first South American tour.

Tour

The second album, Tour, arrived in 2016 — ten songs and three videos, recorded in the Dominican Republic and led by the single Solo Llora, with Lyrical Colimbo and GL Layu appearing on it. In 2021 they were nominated for best urban duo at Premios El Galardón. A third project, Electronic, has been in progress since, trailed by the singles Vida, Para Gozar, Poderoso Gigante and La Reversa.

The other career

Josué Guzmán also records on his own as BS El Ideólogo, working as a producer and rapper in secular dembow. The two catalogues run in parallel under different names and to different audiences. In Dominican music the Christian and secular scenes are usually treated as separate worlds; here they are the same man.
