Yeison El Mejor RD is a Dominican dembow artist who has worked the patronales and nightclub circuit of the southern province of Peravia, around Baní and Nizao, since the late 2010s, building an independent catalogue released directly to streaming rather than through a label.

The Peravia circuit

His earliest documented performances are from local patron-saint festivals — the patronales of Paya, in Baní, and of Nizao — the small-town circuit that still supplies much of the Dominican south with live dembow and mambo acts outside the capital. He has kept working that circuit for the better part of a decade while releasing music independently.

Catalogue

His singles include «Súbete Que Te Montó», «A Ella Le Gusta Que Le Baile», «Porque Roncan», «Kitipo Dembow», «Si Tu Eres Dominicano», «Para Mi Dama», «A Detapa Pila de Botella», «Tú Te Fuiste» and «Son Otros 500», distributed across Spotify, Apple Music and his own YouTube channel. «Tik Tak» paired him with fellow local artists Dilo One RD and Lirycblack RS, and he has also recorded with Liro Shap, known as El Sofoque.

Reach

He has appeared on the local television program «Oportunidades y Más», and his reach today sits well past the patronales that launched him: over 130,000 followers on Instagram against a smaller, steadier YouTube subscriber base, the usual split for an artist whose audience found him through short video before searching out full tracks.
