Yohely Figueroa Restituyo, who records as Joly, is a Dominican Christian singer-songwriter, worship leader and author, born December 25, 1995 in Santo Domingo. She has published books alongside her music, which is unusual among Dominican musicians.

A house of music

She grew up in a household built around music and art, and was singing and acting from the age of three. She wrote her first song at five and performed it in churches, school theatres and wherever she was invited. Before going out on her own she sang lead in several groups, in Christian and secular repertoire both.

Moving out and going solo

In 2017 she moved to the United States to develop the work, and has since worked as a radio presenter and in business alongside the music. She launched as a solo artist in February 2020. The early digital releases run across both registers she had been singing in: Tu Caminaito, Muero, Soy Tuya and Bombonéame.

Todo Va a Estar Bien, cut with Jhon Brega, was written during the pandemic as a call to hold on to faith. She has said she had never really understood the passage in Jeremiah 29 until she wrote it. She has also appeared on the Christian productions La Gran Misión and Aleluya.

The books

She is the author of a devotional, De Rodillas a la Victoria, and of a children’s book, Pinta y Aprende la Biblia: Génesis. Dominican Christian musicians who also publish are rare, and the writing sits alongside the singing rather than behind it.

Tócame Espíritu Santo

Released on February 25, 2026, Tócame Espíritu Santo was her first solo single carrying no duet and no guest. It was produced by Juan Carlos Martínez, recorded between the United States and the Dominican Republic, with a video directed by Frank Ramírez for Croma Film. She traces it to an encounter she had at twelve, and to noticing that she had sung to God for years without ever having written a song addressed to the Holy Spirit. A worship EP is in progress.
