Los Sufridos is a Dominican bachata collective formed in 2023 by producers and performers Cromo X, T.Y.S and Mítiko. The group uses bachata as its foundation while drawing on dembow, hip-hop and other Caribbean sounds. Its collaborations include «Lleno Contigo» with Antony Santos and «Duro De Verdad pt.2» with Bad Gyal.

Origins and concept

In 2023 the project brought together Cromo X, a producer associated with dembow; rapper and producer T.Y.S; and guitarist Mítiko of «La Gran Mawon». Cromo X explained that the group's name relates to bachata's amargue: sadness and heartbreak can become music for dancing and celebration. He said the collective puts its music and visual expression ahead of the individual identities of its members.

Early recordings

Los Sufridos began releasing singles in 2023 through «LAX Music», including «Deli», «Apretaíto» and «Duro de verdad». That December they released «Prendela» with Eklectico. Their repertoire expanded into other Dominican styles with the 2024 merengue single «Chivi», while bachata remained the project's central sound.

Collaborations in 2024

In August 2024 the collective joined Antony Santos on «Lleno Contigo». Dominican reporting identified all three members as producers and singers and attributed its lyrics to Steven Domínguez, Martín Rodríguez and José Julio Bello. In September they released «Duro De Verdad pt.2», a new version of their 2023 song with Bad Gyal. Cromo X said the collaboration grew out of his friendship with the singer during her visit to the Dominican Republic. Tokischa appeared in the video; the digital release names Los Sufridos and Bad Gyal as its main artists.

Later singles

In 2025 Los Sufridos recorded «LA PROPUESTA» with Rels B and «Poloché» with N.I.T.O, and also released «La Zaza». They followed with «Darío» in February 2026. These recordings continued a project developed primarily through singles and collaborations.

Legacy

Los Sufridos bring earlier work in urban production, rap and fusion music into a bachata-centred project. Their recordings with Antony Santos and Bad Gyal connect bachata to performers from different generations and scenes, while other songs explore Dominican and Caribbean rhythms.
