Any Puello is a Dominican worship singer, songwriter and studio vocalist. She is the daughter of pastors, sister of Jairo Puello and of the pastor Joel Puello, and has spent more than twenty years based in the United States. Her recording career runs from 1996 to the present, which makes it one of the longest in Dominican Christian music.

Six, then nine

She began singing in church at six. At nine she learned piano and started composing, and she has been writing her own material ever since. Her first professional recording was a duo album made with her brother Jairo — the record where both of their careers begin.

The session work

Alongside her own albums she has worked extensively as a studio vocalist, singing on other artists’ Christian productions and on advertising jingles. That is the part of a singer’s working life that almost never reaches a biography, and in her case it ran in parallel with a solo catalogue rather than instead of one.

Me Toca a Mí carries Sáname, Quiero, Derrama Tu Gloria, Todo Lo Que Respira, Límpiame Otra Vez, El Gozo Del Señor, Tus Promesas, Ven and Vive, and closes with a ranchera reading of its title track. The singles Yo Creo and Se Moverá came in 2023, El Nombre de Cristo and Lo Que Necesito in 2024.

Off the record

She has become widely known outside music for Noticias de 1 Minuto, a series of one-minute video capsules that circulate on social media, and she has acted in film — El Culpable, and Atravesando el Jordán, in which she plays the lead.
