Biography
Jordan Mateo — Jordan Joel Mateo Green — is a Dominican worship singer, speaker and theology student. He was raised in Templo Bethel, the congregation he still names as his own, by grandparents who were pastors, missionaries and church planters.
The other career
He was a baseball player first. As a teenager he was close to signing professionally, which in the Dominican Republic is not a small thing to walk away from — it is the country’s other route out, and the one families count on. He turned to music instead, and made his first public appearance at fourteen, in his own church.
Mover del Cielo
His first live album arrived on June 21, 2024 through Horeb Music, led by the single of the same name released a fortnight earlier and recorded with the group World Worship. The title track runs thirteen minutes, which tells you the record was cut to the length of a worship service rather than to radio.
Recent work
Me Viene a Buscar followed in September 2025, cut with Génesis Colón and Samaly Quiñones. In 2026 he sang on Yeshua with Sara Batista and the apostle Israel Jiménez, the record that took her onto national media.
The work has travelled: the United States, Puerto Rico, Colombia, Panama, Argentina and Costa Rica, including concerts of some twenty thousand people.
