Biography

Madiel Lara is an acclaimed Dominican Christian urban rapper, record producer, and songwriter recognized as a pioneer of Christian Latin trap in the Spanish-speaking world.

Early beginnings and production roots

Born on April 12, 1991, in Santo Domingo, Lara developed a passion for music production as a young teenager in the mid-2000s. Alongside his brother Misael Lara, he initially formed the urban duo JC Force in 2006, experimenting with digital sequencers, samplers, and rap cadences within local church communities.

Solo discography and Christian Latin trap movement

In 2014, Lara launched his solo recording career with the album *Antivirus*, establishing a futuristic beat-making aesthetic. Subsequent studio projects including *Values* (2018), *ON* (2021), and *Infinito* (2023) showcased his innovative embrace of 808-heavy Latin trap, drill, and afrobeat rhythms, yielding viral streaming hits such as «Aleluya», «mi DIOS», and «Ella dijo que no».

Collaborations, Latin Grammy recognition, and industry impact

As a sought-after music producer and mix engineer, Lara collaborated closely with leading urban icons including Redimi2 on influential projects such as *Trapstornadores*, as well as mainstream and gospel creators like Farruko, Gawvi, and Alex Campos. For his production and engineering on Campos' album *Soldados*, he received official Latin Grammy recognition in 2020 when the project won Best Christian Album. Multiple-time recipient of Premios El Galardón for Urban Producer of the Year, Lara stands as a pillar of modern faith-based urban production.
