Before Combinación Mortal there was no Christian rap album made in the Dominican Republic. Everything that came after occupies a space that did not exist: Aposento Alto and the artists who came out of it — Natan El Profeta, El Philippe — work inside it, and so does Lizzy Parra, who became widely known through Por Un Like, cut with him.

The clearest measure comes from other people. Trapstorno, recorded in 2018 with Natan El Profeta, El Philippe and Rubinsky RBK, is the record the genre is still measured against, and it reached far outside the Christian audience. Two of the four had come out of Aposento Alto; the fourth was him.

The recognition came later and from outside: Grammy and Billboard Latin Music Award nominations, platinum certifications, a U.S. Lifetime Achievement Award in 2026, and a commemorative coin from the United States Congress.
