Patricia Ferreira is a Dominican worship singer and pastor, born in the municipality of Haina, San Cristóbal. She works in prophetic worship and is generally billed as pastora y salmista — pastor and psalmist, in that order.

The live recording is the furthest-travelling thing she has made. It is also an event: she staged a night under the same name, which is how her records tend to work — the song and the gathering are not separate products.

Recorded live with Egleyda Belliard, one of the established names in Dominican worship, and the collaboration reached widely. Profetízate followed, written by Ferreira herself and recorded with Pastor Bolívar Sánchez.

Profetízate is worth glossing because the title is an instruction rather than a description: prophesy over yourself. She explains it as declaring over your own life what you want God to do. That is a specific strand of Dominican charismatic worship, and the song is its clearest statement in her catalogue.

Her ministry is rooted in the town she was born in. She has worked the Jesús Rey tour through Bella Vista de Haina, taken part in simultaneous campaigns across the municipality, and sung at the Asamblea de Dios Rey de Reyes. She has also played larger rooms, among them Sambil in Santo Domingo.
