Egleyda Belliard is a Dominican worship singer, songwriter and author from Santo Domingo. She is the eldest of three, born to the pastors Germán Belliard and Leida Morales, and has spent more than twenty years in ministry — eight albums, a television programme and an international women’s congress that she founded and still runs.

Drums first

She learned drums at eight and guitar at twelve, and sang as a child in the group Los Luceritos de Cristo. The instruments came before the voice, a detail that gets lost when she is described in terms of vocal power alone.

Evidencia brought in Ingrid Rosario, Alex Zurdo and Barak. Impactante gathered Isabelle Valdez, Chanel Novas and Lizzy Parra — three of the strongest women in Dominican Christian music on one record, which is not a line-up the genre assembles often. The single En el Silencio followed in 2025, alongside an instrumental collection, En El Silencio Con Dios. A ninth album is in progress.

Beyond the records

She launched the television programme Dios Hará Cosas Grandes TV in 2010. In 2017 she founded Yo Soy Guerrera, a women’s congress that has run internationally since, and the book of the same name is due in March 2026. She has been nominated for and has won Premios Soberano, Premios El Galardón and Praise Music Awards, and has performed across nineteen Spanish-speaking countries, all fifty United States, Brazil and Italy.
