Kabed (also known as Ministerio Kabed) is an influential Dominican contemporary worship band and musical ministry formed in Santo Domingo. Founded by the late worship leader and songwriter Amaury Hernández, the ensemble has become one of the most prominent worship groups in the Spanish-speaking Christian world, renowned for powerful anthems of congregational praise.

Formation and Early Steps

Kabed was organized in the late 2010s in Santo Domingo with the objective of creating intense, scripture-based congregational worship. Led by the vision and musical direction of Amaury Hernández, the band brought together gifted musicians and vocalists dedicated to creating live worship environments.

National Breakthrough with «Sopla»

The group experienced an international breakthrough with the release of «Sopla», an emotive worship anthem invoking the Holy Spirit that quickly spread across Latin America, the United States, and Spain, amassing millions of views and streams. Other standout tracks including «Derrama», «Salmo 23», and «Al Tocar Tu Manto» cemented their status at the forefront of the modern Dominican worship renaissance.
