Alex Linares, born November 20, 1992, is a Dominican Christian urban singer, songwriter, author and pastor. He is a systems engineer by training, a graduate of the Universidad Central del Este, and now pastors in Puerto Rico. Eight albums and a book stand behind him, and he has been releasing steadily since 2011.

Haciendo Lo Mío

The first solo record came in March 2011, and he took it around barrios and schools rather than to venues. Procesado followed on March 23, 2013, and opened the doors — radio, awards, and stages holding audiences of five thousand.

Con El Corazón

Mejor De Lo Que Imaginé arrived on August 21, 2015 and came with the largest urban concert a local artist had staged in the city, filling its main coliseum with more than fifteen hundred young people. Con El Corazón, the song off it, is what carried him beyond the country.

Favor y Gracia followed on November 23, 2018, carrying Esta Fiesta, cut with Lizzy Parra.

Concept records

Amores, released February 12, 2021, is a set of songs about romantic relationships written from a Christian position, issued as a sequence rather than a single album — he is credited as the first in the scene to structure a release that way. Relevantes came in 2022 as a book and an album at once, built around not letting a life pass unnoticed, and he has taken it out as a conference in several countries.

Caribeño, in 2023, turned toward the Caribbean roots underneath the urban production. Azul Vida followed in 2026 and changed the audience: it is aimed at families, and specifically at parents raising neurodivergent children — a subject Dominican Christian music had not addressed.

Around the records

He runs a foundation, To’ Lo Que Respire, for socio-evangelistic work, and was one of the executive producers of the first national urban congress, CNU, held in 2017. His recordings gather much of the scene: Profeta Lirical on UAIO OE and again on Azul Vida, Candelario and Derick Daniel Pérez Cordero on other cuts. He writes the bulk of the catalogue himself, credited on those songs under his legal name, Felipe A. Linares.
